Are Golden Gate Bridge Prints Signed

Not always. My Sunset at Golden Gate Bridge print is an open print run. I am trying to sign them, but I cannot guarantee that every print will be signed. I would rather tell you that plainly than promise something I cannot deliver.

Sunset At Golden Gate Bridge
from $26.95

Spring flowers line the California hillside overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge. From here, I snap this stunning photograph of the Golden Gate Bridge, perfect for any wall in a home or a office.

Here is what I can promise. I try. I want to sign as many prints as I can, and I am working on it. Some will be signed, and some might not be. I do not want to say something that is not true, and I do not want anyone to feel misled after they open the box.

What does an open run mean? It means there is no fixed number of prints. A limited edition is capped, with something like fifty copies made and then no more. An open run has no cap, which is one reason a signature is harder to guarantee on every single copy.

If a signature matters to you, tell me before you order. I would rather know up front. I cannot promise the answer will always be yes, but I can tell you what is possible.

What you are getting either way is the same photograph. It is a real, human made image, taken on a hillside above the Golden Gate Bridge at sunset in late March, with a Sony body and a Tamron lens at 70 millimeters. It was not made by AI. The quality of the print does not depend on whether I have signed it.

Consider how the print will be used. A lot of people hang it in an office, give it as a thank you, or put it in a room where they want a calm, bright landscape. For those uses, a signature is a nice touch, but it is not what makes the piece work. The photograph does that.

If you are buying it as a gift, and a signature would make it feel more special, ask me. I would hate for someone to hand over a gift expecting a signature and find it missing.

Materials and sizes work the same way. The print comes in 8x10, 8x12, 11x14, 12x18, 16x24, 20x30, and 24x36, on paper, metal, or canvas. I choose the paper myself. If you want something custom, like a different size or a material such as wood or gatorboard, I can give you a free quote.

The print has also found uses I did not plan. A company once turned the image into about 200 thank you cards for its clients. That is a very different kind of life for a photograph, and it is one reason I try to keep things simple and honest.

It helps to know what a signature does and does not change. A signed print is a nice keepsake, and some buyers like the personal connection. But the color, the sharpness, and the material are identical whether or not my name is on the print. If you are choosing between a signature and a better material, I would put the money toward the material.

Signing is something I am trying to do, not something I can guarantee, and I would rather say so than make a promise I might miss.

If you would like to know more about the photograph before you decide, the story is simple. Two weeks in a van, a hillside above the bridge, and a spring evening with the right light. That is what the print records, signed or not.

Shipping takes about 5 to 10 days. If you have any question about signing, ask before you order.
