Ordering a Custom Size or Material for a Golden Gate Bridge Print

Yes, custom sizes and materials are possible. If the standard options do not fit your wall, you can reach out for a free quote with the size and the material you want. I would rather build the right piece than have you settle for the wrong one.

I have the ability to print custom sizes and material (like wood, gatorboard, etc.). If this interests you, please reach out to dj@dalton-johnson.com for a free quote with the size and material you desire.

The standard choices cover a lot. The print comes in 8x10, 8x12, 11x14, 12x18, 16x24, 20x30, and 24x36, and you can choose paper, metal, or canvas. For most walls and most budgets, one of those is the right fit. It is worth starting there, because it is the simplest path.

Custom is for the walls that do not cooperate. Maybe you have a long, narrow hallway, an odd space above a doorway, or a frame you already own and love. Maybe you want a size larger than 24x36. In those cases, a custom size lets you fit the photograph to the space instead of the other way around.

Custom also covers different materials. Besides paper, metal, and canvas, I can print on things like wood or gatorboard. Those are less common choices, but they can be a great fit for certain rooms, and they give the image a very different feel.

Here is how it works. You send me the size and the material you have in mind, and I send back a free quote. That is it. There is no obligation, and it helps you know exactly what you are getting before you commit.

What should you have ready? Measure your wall or your frame carefully and write the exact size down. Think about where the print will hang and how much light it gets. That helps decide the material. If you are unsure, tell me about the room and I will tell you what I would do.

Here is my honest advice on materials. For this photograph, I would choose paper or metal. The colors are vibrant, and those materials show them best. Canvas absorbs a lot of light, which can make the image look a little dull, and it can fade in direct sun. So if you are going custom, I would think hard before choosing canvas.

Metal is the most durable and has high UV protection, but it is usually the most expensive and it has a lot of glare. Paper is usually the cheapest once you add a frame. I choose the paper for every order myself, so it will be right.

Timing works differently for custom orders. Standard prints ship in about 5 to 10 days. For a custom size or material, ask about timing when you ask for the quote, since it may vary.

Custom sizes are especially useful for a photograph like this one. The bridge stretches across the frame, so a wide format can suit a long wall over a sofa, a bed, or a console. A standard ratio may leave empty space on either side. A custom piece can be shaped to fill the wall instead, which is often the difference between a print that looks chosen and one that looks borrowed from a catalog.

Before you write, gather a few details. Note the exact width and height of the space, the material you prefer, and whether the print will be framed. If the room gets strong light, mention it, and I can suggest paper or metal accordingly. The more you tell me, the closer the first quote will be to what you need.

This is a real photograph, made by a person standing on a hillside above the Golden Gate Bridge at sunset. It was not made by AI. If you have a wall that needs something specific, reach out and we will work it out.
