I also refresh silica packets specifically at this stage, swapping in dry ones before gear goes back into storage for the night, since packets that absorbed moisture during the day's shoot are already partially spent by the time evening comes around and won't offer much additional protection overnight.

A modest monthly premium with a manageable deductible has saved me real money more than once on moisture-related damage that no amount of careful handling fully prevented.
