Vamos a Baja
Marketing Assets Plus 1 Million Views
Overview
This winter, we’re hitting the road from Lake Tahoe to the southern tip of Baja in search of sun, sand, and surf, capturing every moment through photo and video. Our coastal road trip celebrates winter van life by trading snow for saltwater and diving into everything the California and Baja coasts have to offer. From surf breaks and hot springs to wine country and whale encounters, we’ll be living outside, chasing light, and sharing stories from the road. Every day is an opportunity to explore, create, and connect.
What Will This Road Trip Be Like?
Picture pulling off at a sunset overlook, scarfing down tacos, and calling that coastal stretch home for the night. This trip is about chasing the endless summer—surfing, snorkeling, hiking, paddling, and uncovering hidden gems all along the way.
Mornings begin with coffee and ocean views.
On drive days, we’ll stretch our legs with quick hikes, surf sessions, or spontaneous beach dips.
On adventure days, we might kick things off with a sunrise surf or take it slow with pancakes before paddling out or diving in with a snorkel. Some days will be packed, others more relaxed, but all of them will be filled with curiosity and freedom. This road trip is a reminder that adventure is always just around the corner if you're willing to look.

How I'll Get 1M Views over 90 days; The Follow The Journey System:
Over the past 10 years I have developed a distribution system I call, “Follow the Journey” to bring viewers along virtually on these kinds of trips. While I don’t have a massive following, 50-something thousand in total, this distribution system is designed to engage viewers over and over again through a variety of formats as well platforms. The secret is staging and diversity.
Stages:
Getting Started: Provide a BTS look at getting ready and build suspense for the trip, showcasing how people can follow along
The Journey: Showcase daily POV of the trip “in real time”, recaps at the end of every day across platforms while planting easter eggs for long form content, and share slightly longer weekly round ups across several platforms with more easter eggs
Post Trip: Debrief the trip to the audience who has followed along, share what is to come, but in the mean time here are highlights and BTS of how we make long form
Long Form Reminders: Share the long form with those who have followed along, getting everyone re-excited for the trip
Diversity (with average numbers for all you data driven people out there):
UnBound, the weekly newsletter:
37k+ weekly readers = 5k/day
if you are not signed up I highly suggest checking it out: Click to Sign Up For UnBound
long form articles: grows over time with SEO
Social media (sharing BTS, posts, reels, stories, etc. throughout the trip):
LI: 3-4k/day
IG: 1-2k/day
YT: 3-4k/day
TT: not on the platform, but considering
Leveraging earned media relationships:
OVR Magazine will be distributing a weekly article
Tourism Boards
Collabs with local pros, tour operators, guides, influencers, etc. on social
Paid media:
While it has not happened to me yet, if everything flops I will put my own money behind the content to get it over the 1M mark. I will say, this will be my 40-something project of this kind and I have not had to do this yet. Fingers crossed I still don't have to.
So, tally that up, not including earned or paid media, we are already at 1.1M organic views in 90 days.
Three Key Difference Between Me and an Influencer:
I am not an influencer and function more as a turn-key creative agency who also gets exposure for clients through my own distribution channels.
That is a fancy way of saying, my first focus is creating bad ass marketing assets for your brand in Baja and along the way I will be leveraging my relationships that I have built, throughout my last decade plus, in the industry to get 1M views throughout this trip.
So, what’s the difference between me and an influencer?
My first focus is helping your brand all create marketing assets to use across your channels.
My second focus is sharing content to my audience to help continue increasing your brand’s awareness.
Finally, I go a step further than any creative and guarantee the project reach. Yup, in the contract, we would sign, I will guarantee 1M for free!
Influencers flip #1 & #2, focusing on themselves first and your brand second. As for #3, I doubt any would ever guarantee views, just saying.
Mood Board:
Meet The Dream Team
Kristin - The Lovable One
Skillset:
Being freak’n cute and trying her hardest to take on any adventure that comes her way
Socials:
Fun Fact: I’m motivated to try-hard by candy, compliments, and the promise of a chill day by the water
Chestnut - The Comic Relief
Skillset:
Eating, burping, getting dirty, creating REALLY smelly farts
Socials:
Ummmm, about that, was I supposed to do that? I thought my pawrents were going to do that. They probably just forgot or didn’t think I was mature enough to handle something like that…
Fun Fact: I’m named after a road sign
