The clouds were heavy from a summer storm along the east shore of Lake Tahoe as the sun was about to set. To our surprise, the sun poked out from behind the clouds and shone bright. Turning the sky a blend of purple, red, and orange. The water stirred and crashed against the rocky shoreline at Bonsai Rock.

Yet, Bonsai Rock stood tall and strong as sunlight faded into darkness.
