Fall in the desert is boasts of complementary colors. The blue sky and orange leaves of the cottonwoods make the desert of Utah a special place visit in the autumn. If you are lucky enough, like I was, you will be stuck in a snowstorm, in the desert, during the fall. As six inches of snow fell overnight, the cottonwoods sparkled against the red and blue background.

This image is apart of an abstract gallery that took over two years to create. The technique to capture this striking image involves a slow shutter speed and movement.
